Breakthrough stomach bug treatment could replace Four-Drug cocktail

NCT ID NCT06734260

Summary

This study is testing a simpler two-drug treatment to eliminate H. pylori, a common stomach bacteria that can cause ulcers and other problems. Researchers want to see if a new acid-blocking drug called keverprazan, combined with amoxicillin, works as well as current four-drug treatments but with fewer side effects. They're testing different doses and treatment lengths in 477 adults to find the most effective approach.
