New gum surgery aims to heal recession with less pain

NCT ID NCT05844254

Summary

This study is testing a new gum surgery technique (called NORD flap) against the current standard method for treating receding gums. The goal is to see if the new method, which doesn't require taking tissue from a second site in the mouth, works as well to cover the exposed root. Researchers will measure gum coverage, pain levels, and patient satisfaction over 15 months in 60 participants.
