Gentle vs. standard cleaning: which works better for saving dental implants?
NCT ID NCT07466966
Summary
This study is testing two different non-surgical cleaning methods for treating peri-implantitis, a gum infection that can damage the bone supporting dental implants. Researchers will compare a newer, more delicate cleaning technique (MINST) against the standard cleaning method (NSPT) in 106 patients over one year. The goal is to see which approach is better at reducing infection, improving bone health, and preventing the need for additional treatments.
