New pill combo aims to tame stubborn gout
NCT ID NCT07362355
Summary
This study is testing if adding a new drug called SHR4640 to a standard gout medication (febuxostat) works better for lowering uric acid than simply increasing the dose of the standard drug alone. It will involve about 340 adults with gout whose uric acid is still too high despite taking the standard medication. The main goal is to see which approach is more effective and safe over 12 weeks.
