New surgical approach tested for severe glaucoma

NCT ID NCT07201415

Summary

This study is testing a new, less invasive eye surgery for people with advanced neovascular glaucoma, a severe form of the disease where high pressure damages the optic nerve. It will compare this new procedure to traditional surgery in 30 patients to see if it better controls eye pressure and reduces the need for medications. The main goal is to find a safer, more effective way to manage this difficult-to-treat condition.
