New hope for stubborn glaucoma: implant trial seeks to save sight

NCT ID NCT07220876

Summary

This study is testing a new tiny drainage device called the VisiPlate for people with advanced open-angle glaucoma that hasn't responded well to other treatments. The goal is to see if safely lowering the dangerous fluid pressure inside the eye can help protect vision. About 165 participants will receive the implant and be monitored to see how much their eye pressure decreases.
