First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study aims to find new genes that may increase the risk of uveal melanoma, a rare eye cancer. Only 20% of inherited cases are explained by known genes, so researchers will analyze DNA from 50 patients to discover new ones. The goal is to improve genetic testing and surveillance for families affected by this cancer.
