New gel challenges standard treatment for menopause symptoms

Summary
This study compares a new silicone gel to standard estrogen cream for treating vaginal and urinary symptoms after menopause. Researchers want to see if the gel works as well as estrogen at improving quality of life. About 100 postmenopausal women will use one of the treatments for three months and report on their symptoms and comfort.
