Summary
This study tested the safety of a new type of flu vaccine that uses self-amplifying RNA technology. Pfizer enrolled 440 healthy adults aged 18-49 to receive either the experimental vaccine, a standard flu shot, or a placebo. The main goal was to check for side effects and see how well the new vaccine was tolerated over six months.
