NCT ID NCT06238999

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study is testing a new flowable composite filling material (TM Flow) for treating non-carious cervical lesions—damage to the tooth near the gum line not caused by cavities. 66 adults each receive two fillings (one experimental, one standard) in different teeth. Researchers will check for pain, sensitivity, and how well the fillings hold up over 5 years.

Active substance

TM Flow flowable composite dental filling material

What this could lead to

If successful, this could provide a safe and effective new option for treating non-carious cervical lesions, potentially improving dental restoration durability and aesthetics.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study (66 participants) comparing a new material to an existing one. Results may not apply to all patients or lesion types, and long-term performance is still unknown.
