Parents hold key to helping babies ditch feeding tubes
NCT ID NCT07035912
Summary
This study is testing a new program called PIONEER, which teaches parents special techniques to help their hospitalized infants learn to eat by mouth. The goal is to see if this program is better than standard care at helping babies avoid needing a permanent feeding tube (g-tube) when they leave the hospital. Researchers will compare two groups of infants to see which approach leads to better feeding skills and development.
