Doctors test new fix for delicate eye layer after cataract surgery

NCT ID NCT07364708

Summary

This study is testing a relatively new surgical technique to fix a specific complication that can happen after cataract surgery, where a thin, clear layer inside the eye (the Descemet's membrane) detaches. It will involve 50 patients aged 50-70 who develop this problem within a week after their cataract operation. The main goal is to see how well and how quickly this new method can reattach the membrane.
