New eye gel trial aims to fight dangerous fungal infection
NCT ID NCT06463678
Summary
This study is testing a new gel eye drop containing iodine to treat fungal infections of the cornea, the clear front part of the eye. It will involve about 60 people with a confirmed fungal eye infection to see if the gel can clear the fungus and help the eye heal. The gel will be compared to an existing antifungal eye drop to see which works better.
