New eye gel aims to make cataract surgery safer

NCT ID NCT07279506

Summary

This study is testing a new surgical gel called IXIUM TWIN that helps protect the eye during cataract surgery. Researchers want to see if it works as well as an already approved gel at preventing damage to delicate eye cells. About 180 adults scheduled for cataract surgery will participate, with half receiving the new gel and half receiving the standard gel during their procedure.
