Iodine vs. antibiotic: new eye drop battle for pink eye

NCT ID NCT05816070

Summary

This study tested a new iodine-based gel eye drop (IVIEW 1201) against a common antibiotic eye drop (ofloxacin) for treating bacterial pink eye. It involved 129 patients with recent, confirmed infections to see which treatment was more effective at clearing the infection and reducing redness and discharge. The goal was to see if the new drop could be a good alternative treatment option.
