New eye drop aims to tame debilitating itch and damage from severe allergic eye disease

Summary
This study is testing whether a new eye drop called DFL24498 can safely and effectively control the symptoms and signs of atopic keratoconjunctivitis (AKC), a severe and chronic allergic eye disease. It will involve about 138 adults with AKC who will use the eye drop or a placebo (vehicle) solution for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if the treatment reduces severe eye itching and improves other symptoms and eye surface health.
