New weapon against tough esophageal cancer enters human testing

Summary
This study is testing new drug combinations for people with advanced esophageal cancer that cannot be removed by surgery or has spread. Researchers are combining an existing immunotherapy drug (pembrolizumab) with a new targeted drug (I-DXd), with or without standard chemotherapy. The main goals are to see if these combinations are safe and if they can shrink or eliminate tumors in participants.
