Summary

This study tested two new experimental drugs (lomvastomig and tobemstomig) against the standard treatment nivolumab in 190 people with advanced or metastatic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma that had stopped responding to prior chemotherapy. The goal was to see if the new drugs could help patients live longer. Enrollment in one drug arm was stopped early for business reasons, not safety concerns.
