New device aims to boost IVF success by placing embryos directly in the womb

NCT ID NCT06744049

First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests a new tool called the Transfer Direct System (TDS) for placing embryos during IVF. The goal is to see if it is safer and works better than the usual method. About 80 women having IVF with a single embryo will take part. The TDS uses a tiny camera and automated system to guide the embryo directly into the womb lining, which may help prevent the embryo from being pushed out and improve pregnancy rates.
