Tiny beads vs. pills: new trial tests procedure to control stubborn high blood pressure

NCT ID NCT07328230

Summary

This study is testing whether a minimally invasive procedure is as good as or better than standard pills for treating a hormone disorder that causes high blood pressure. Researchers will compare a procedure that blocks tiny blood vessels in the adrenal glands with the usual medication, spironolactone. The goal is to see which treatment is safer and more effective at controlling blood pressure and hormone levels over six months.
