New drug trial aims to tame severe eczema itch and rash

Summary
This study is testing an investigational drug called JNJ-95475939 to see if it can reduce the rash and severe itch of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema). It will involve about 256 adults whose eczema is not well controlled by standard creams or other treatments. Participants will receive either the new drug, a placebo (an inactive substance), or an existing approved drug for comparison over 24 weeks to measure improvements in skin and quality of life.
