New cholesterol drug enters human testing
NCT ID NCT07223658
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new drug called ARO-DIMERPA in adults with mixed hyperlipidemia, a condition involving high levels of both LDL ('bad') cholesterol and triglycerides. The main goal is to check if the drug is safe and how the body processes it, while also seeing if it helps lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels. About 78 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo in increasing doses to find the safest and most effective amount.
