New hope for stubborn high blood pressure? experimental drug enters testing
NCT ID NCT07142356
Summary
This study is testing whether a new drug called RTN-001 can help lower blood pressure in adults whose high blood pressure isn't controlled by their current medications. About 280 participants will take either RTN-001 or a placebo pill daily for 12 weeks, with regular checkups to measure blood pressure and monitor safety. Researchers want to see if RTN-001 is more effective than a placebo at reducing blood pressure in people with this difficult-to-treat condition.
