New hope for fighting a stubborn lung bug
NCT ID NCT07372781
Summary
This study is testing a new antibiotic called contezolid to see how well it kills a specific type of hard-to-treat bacteria in the lungs (Mycobacterium abscessus). It compares the new drug to an older one (linezolid) over 14 days in 24 patients. The main goal is to see if contezolid can reduce the amount of bacteria in patients' sputum faster or more effectively.
