First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a combination of four drugs—gemcitabine, cisplatin, nab-paclitaxel, and tislelizumab—in people with advanced biliary tract cancer (bile duct or gallbladder cancer) that has not been treated before. The goal is to see if this mix can shrink tumors and improve survival. The trial is enrolling 61 adults in South Korea and will also monitor side effects closely.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

gemcitabine, cisplatin, nab-paclitaxel, and tislelizumab

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a more effective treatment option for people with advanced biliary tract cancer, potentially shrinking tumors and extending life.

What could go wrong

This is an early-phase trial with only 61 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The combination of four drugs may cause significant side effects, and the benefit over standard therapy is not yet proven.
