First-in-Human test: dissolving stent aims to clear leg artery blockages

NCT ID NCT07290101

Summary

This is the first human trial to test a new type of dissolving stent designed to open blocked arteries in the pelvis and leg. The study will enroll 15 patients with narrowed or completely blocked iliac arteries to see if the device is safe and if it can keep the artery open for at least 12 months. Doctors will monitor patients closely for a year to check for complications and see how well the stent works.
