Plastic needle tested for safer dialysis
NCT ID NCT05927532
Summary
This study tested a new plastic needle designed for patients receiving dialysis for kidney failure. Researchers wanted to see if it was safe and worked as well as the standard steel needles during dialysis sessions. About 40 patients at up to 5 clinics used the new device for their treatments while staff tracked how well it performed.
