Breakthrough gel tested to heal diabetic foot wounds and prevent amputations
NCT ID NCT07290673
Summary
This study is testing whether a new wound treatment called FoundationDRS Solo helps heal chronic foot ulcers in people with diabetes when added to standard care. About 124 participants with a stubborn foot sore that hasn't healed with regular treatment will have the new gel applied weekly for 12 weeks, while others receive standard care alone. Researchers will track if the sores close completely and measure how the treatment affects quality of life.
