New diabetes injection trial aims to outperform current treatment

NCT ID NCT06257966

Summary

This study is testing whether a new medication called JY09 works better than an existing drug (dulaglutide) for people with type 2 diabetes whose blood sugar isn't well controlled with metformin alone. About 600 participants will receive either JY09 at one of two doses or dulaglutide as an injection alongside their metformin for 54 weeks. Researchers will compare how well each treatment lowers blood sugar levels and monitor for side effects.
