First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests a small, reusable device that attaches to chest drains to detect air leaks from the lungs after surgery. The device measures gases like CO2 and oxygen to see if it can spot leaks more accurately than just looking for bubbles. About 33 adults having lung surgery will take part to see if the device works well.
