New device aims to make colon polyp removal safer and more complete

NCT ID NCT07263997

Summary

This study is testing a new medical device called SureTrac that helps doctors remove large, pre-cancerous growths (polyps) from the colon. The device is designed to gently pull on the polyp during a non-surgical procedure, making it easier to remove in one piece. Researchers want to see if using this tool makes the procedure more successful for patients with polyps larger than 2 cm.
