New hope for Kids' walking: study tests different muscle focus for cerebral palsy

NCT ID NCT07147933

Summary

This study is testing a new physical therapy method for children with cerebral palsy who have a specific walking problem called crouch gait. Instead of just focusing on the usual leg muscles, therapists will work on correcting pelvic tilt and strengthening a deep calf muscle (the soleus). Researchers will measure muscle activity before and after therapy to see if this new approach leads to better walking patterns.
