Researchers test cheaper, local alternative for diagnosing stubborn constipation

NCT ID NCT06850415

Summary

This study tested a new, locally-made diagnostic capsule to see if it works as well as a standard, more expensive test for diagnosing slow transit constipation. Participants, including people with constipation and healthy volunteers, swallowed both types of capsules. An X-ray five days later showed how many markers from each capsule remained, helping researchers compare their accuracy.
