New hope for Tough-to-Treat colon cancer: experimental drug targets genetic drivers

Summary
This study is testing whether adding an experimental drug called onvansertib to standard chemotherapy works better for people with advanced colorectal cancer that has spread and has specific genetic changes (KRAS or NRAS mutations). It involves 113 participants who haven't had previous treatment for their metastatic cancer. Researchers want to find the most effective dose of onvansertib and see if this combination helps shrink tumors and control the cancer longer than standard treatment alone.
