New surgery trial aims to improve colon cancer survival and recovery

NCT ID NCT07207317

Summary

This study is comparing two types of minimally invasive surgeries for cancer in the right side of the colon. It aims to see if a newer technique (LIRRH) leads to better long-term survival and fewer short-term complications than the standard surgery. Researchers will track 120 patients for up to 5 years to measure cancer recurrence, survival rates, and changes in gut health after surgery.
