AI and focused hearing tech aim to cut through the noise for implant users
NCT ID NCT07213505
Summary
This study is testing two new features for MED-EL cochlear implants designed to improve hearing in challenging, noisy situations. It will involve 40 adults who are experienced users of specific MED-EL devices. Researchers will measure how well participants understand speech in background noise using the new 'Focused Beamformer' for directional hearing and an 'AI Mode' for optimized sound processing.
