Double attack on dangerous virus in transplant patients
NCT ID NCT06334497
Summary
This study is testing if adding a new drug (letermovir) to the standard treatment (valganciclovir) works better to control a common and serious viral infection called CMV in people who have received a kidney transplant. The goal is to clear the virus from the blood faster and reduce the risk of the virus becoming resistant to treatment. The trial will involve 80 participants who will receive either the two-drug combination or the standard treatment alone.
