Two-Pronged attack: new leukemia drug strategy aims for deeper remission

NCT ID NCT05143840

Summary

This study is testing a new drug, asciminib, for adults newly diagnosed with a slow-growing type of blood cancer called chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). The goal is to see if asciminib alone can drive the cancer into a very deep remission. If it doesn't work well enough after two years, doctors will add a low dose of a standard CML drug to try to boost its effectiveness.
