New Two-Drug strategy aims to control blood cancer

Summary
This study is testing a new drug called asciminib for adults newly diagnosed with a type of blood cancer called chronic myeloid leukemia. The goal is to see if asciminib, taken alone or later combined with a low dose of another standard drug, can effectively control the disease. Researchers will monitor patients for up to 8 years to see how well the treatment works and if it is safe.
