New injection aims to tackle stubborn high cholesterol
NCT ID NCT07278830
Summary
This study tested whether adding a new injectable drug called SAL003 to standard cholesterol pills (atorvastatin) could better lower 'bad' cholesterol (LDL-C) in adults with high cholesterol. It involved 214 participants and compared the effects of the new injection to a placebo over 24 weeks. The goal was to see if this combination is safe and more effective than the standard pill alone.
