Summary
This study tested whether adding a new injection called SAL003 to standard cholesterol pills helps lower bad cholesterol more effectively. The trial involved 720 Chinese adults with high cholesterol who weren't reaching target levels despite taking their regular medication. Participants received either the actual injection or a placebo every 4 weeks for 6 months, then all received the active injection for another 7 months.
