New injection aims to tame stubborn high cholesterol

NCT ID NCT06109831

Summary

This study tested whether adding a new injectable drug called SHR-1918 to standard cholesterol pills could help patients who still have high 'bad' cholesterol (LDL-C) despite taking their regular medication. It involved 335 adults with poorly controlled cholesterol levels. Researchers measured how much the injection lowered cholesterol over 16 weeks compared to a placebo (dummy) injection.
