Summary

This study is testing a new, step-by-step method to safely remove chest tubes that have been accidentally placed into lung tissue, a rare but serious complication. The goal is to see if this gentle, multi-week technique can work without needing major surgery. Researchers will follow 300 patients to see if the method successfully removes the tube without causing air leaks, bleeding, or other problems.
