New rib brace could ease pain and breathing after chest injury

NCT ID NCT07238582

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-invasive chest stabilizer for people with multiple broken ribs from blunt chest trauma. Researchers want to see if wearing this brace for 10 days helps reduce pain, improves breathing, and lowers the risk of lung complications like pneumonia compared to standard pain medication alone. The study will involve 74 adults who will be randomly assigned to receive either the new brace or standard care.
