Scientists test Patient's own cells to fight cancer fluid

Summary
This is a very early, small study to see if a new personalized cell therapy is safe and shows any early signs of working. It is for people with advanced cancers who have developed a painful buildup of fluid in the abdomen (malignant ascites). Doctors will collect a patient's own immune cells from this fluid, grow more of them in a lab, and then infuse them back into the abdomen to try to fight the cancer cells there.
