Wrist vs groin: new device aims to make Stroke-Preventing procedure safer

NCT ID NCT07377422

Summary

This study is testing a new medical device designed to make carotid artery stenting safer and more effective when performed through the wrist instead of the groin. The procedure helps prevent strokes by opening narrowed neck arteries. Researchers will compare the new device to standard approaches in 204 patients at multiple hospitals to see if it improves success rates and reduces complications.
