New heart procedure device aims to control dangerous irregular heartbeats

NCT ID NCT05144503

Summary

This study is testing a new medical device called the SpherePVI™ catheter system for treating paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, a type of irregular heartbeat. The trial will enroll 100 participants who haven't responded well to medication to see if the device can safely and effectively isolate the heart areas causing the problem. Researchers will track safety issues and whether the procedure successfully stops the irregular heart rhythms over time.
