Gentler breathing technique aims to ease surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT07110428

Summary

This study is testing a new method to help patients breathe during hysteroscopic surgery, a common procedure for diagnosing and treating gynecological conditions. Researchers want to see if a special jet of oxygen delivered near the throat can reduce breathing problems and prevent sore throats compared to the standard nasal tube. The trial involves 100 women having elective surgery to see which method leads to fewer complications and a smoother recovery.
