Brain scan breakthrough: Hat-Sized device could transform surgery for kids with epilepsy

NCT ID NCT07378397

Summary

This study is testing a new, more comfortable type of brain scanner for children with epilepsy who need surgery. The new scanner is a lightweight hat, unlike the bulky, rigid helmets used now. Researchers will compare the new hat scanner to the old one in 20 children to see if it works just as well or better at pinpointing the source of seizures for surgeons.
