Scientists test Lab-Grown bone to mend broken wrists
NCT ID NCT05987033
Summary
This was the first study in people to test a new type of bone graft implant called NVDX3. It was used in 11 adults with a specific type of broken wrist to see if it was safe and could help the bone heal. Doctors placed the implant during a single surgery and then monitored patients for a year to check for side effects and see how well the bone repaired itself.
